O'Hanlon Motorcycles
162 Clara Street (near 5th Street)
San Francisco, CA
(415) 777-3845 [MAP]
www.ohanlonmotorcycles.com
The first thing you realize about O'Hanlon
Motorcycles when you pull up outside, is
that this is not a fashion boutique. There
are no pretensions here. You won't find brightly
lit displays of helmets, leathers, neon signs,
gadgets or doodads. There is no designer
decor, no posturing counter staff in skate
punk tee-shirts.
Hey! Why not drop in on the gang at O'Hanlon's
and get your own copy of UrbanMoto? |

"Kawasaki Comes Alive!"
After letting Suzuki (and about everyone
else on the planet) have their way with them
for years, Kawasaki has stepped up to the
plate and produced a real challenger in the
2006 Ninja SV650R. Sure, it will need to work hard to earn
the respect it deserves on the track, but
from what we saw, it has much more than a
good pedigree. Check out Henrick's review
of the new Ninja on page 8 of our latest
issue. Special thanks to Bike World in Sunnyvale for the loan of this pristine machine, right
off the friggin' boat! |

"Rauseo out of Dakar Rally"
San Francisco's own desert racing maven,
lawyer-turned-racer, Charlie Rauseo, crashed out of the Dakar in the very difficult
Stage 7 - sand dunes. Charlie painfully dislocated
his shoulder. The dejected Rauseo is doing
well and was given a hero's welcome at SFO
airport, Tuesday, January 10th by his family and friends. Charlie's teammate
Mike Krynock (pictured above), finished in 84th place
(the 4th place USA entrant). Details can
be found at www.charliedakar.com, RallyPanAm.com, www.dakar.com and [2006 Dakar final bike standings] |
